Future Tech One is a high-quality precision engineering company based in Launceston, in Devon, and Newcastle-Under-Lyme. We are looking for an experienced Machine shop Supervisor with excellent knowledge of engineering. The company is a well-established business that works mainly in the Motorsport industry for over 20 years.

We have built up and maintained a high standard of quality and efficiency that excels in the manufacturing sector and now due to rapid growth and expansion we are looking to expand into other sectors. Due to this expansion we are currently seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

To help with the development of the company's process and procedures an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor.

Key Requirements:

• This is a hands-on shop floor-based role managing up-to 20 machinists

• Day-to-day running of the machine shop.

• Operate machines when required.

• Ensure planned work is completed on time and to our high standards.

• Ensure machinist performance standards are achieved.

• Identify training requirements for the team.

• To satisfy internal quality standards and procedures.

• Provision of feedback to Manager in the interests of value engineering and quality.

• Ensure that housekeeping within relevant areas are kept to a level practical to maintain a satisfactory turnaround of work and does not impact upon the requirements of Health and Safety.

• To read engineering drawings and plan work accordingly.

• Act as a first point of contact on maintenance issues and progress accordingly.

• plan the active workflow on shop floor

• Great team worker and leader

• A full driving licence, but not essential

Working hours are:

Monday - Thursday: 7.00am-4.00pm

Friday: 7.00am-12.00pm

With overtime available.
